Genesis NFTs and $AAG Staking Update Part II

We hope that everyone who celebrates December holidays had a wonderful break this month. We also enjoyed spending time with our friends and families — although that doesn’t mean that AAG Ventures stepped away from our collective keyboards for long.

In fact, our team has been working harder than ever, and has made significant progress on our staking program. Today, we would like to share some more details as well as the launch date for AAG’s single-sided-staking program.

TL;DR: What is Our Staking Program?

We plan to reward our supporters and community members through a couple of staking programs. These include a safer single-sided staking option and UniSwap LP staking option with a much higher potential reward. IDO participants will also receive a Genesis NFT and enjoy additional benefits.

Lockup Option and APR Boost

You will have an option between two weeks and 26 weeks (6 months) with an increment of one week. The boost factor between the min and max range will be 1.5x. This means that locking up your $AAG for 26 weeks will give you a 50% higher yield than when locking up for only two weeks.

Once the lockup period is over, you will be able to unstake your token. However, if you don’t, you will continue to enjoy the same boosted rate until you decide to unstake.

HODL-To-Earn and APR Boost

After seven days of staking, you will be able to withdraw your earned $AAG token. However, if you don’t, you will get up to 15% extra boost in APR for the unclaimed reward. For example:

Base APR: 100%
After week 1: 100.5769230769%
After week 2: 101.1538461538%

After week 26: 115%

This means that the longer you keep your earned $AAG tokens in the pool, the more you will earn.

Launch Date

Due to the features we added based on the feedback from the community and the fact that it’s a holiday season, we have pushed the launch date back to Jan 10th.

While we wanted to launch before the end of 2021, we cannot ignore the fact that a large amount of $AAG tokens will be involved and it is better that our smart contracts are properly audited for maximum security.

Our security partner for the audit of our smart contracts for the staking program is SlowMist.

Sneak Peek

Our staking user interface is currently being tested to make sure it’s user-friendly — even for a non-crypto person since we’re aware that a large number of users fall into this category. We may still make some minor tweaks right up to the launch date.

Learn About Our Staking Programs and Earn $AAG

Since our staking programs are much more complex than an average one, we feel it’s a good idea for our community to spend some time understanding how they work.

To incentivize our community to learn more about our staking programs, we will award 10 $AAG tokens each to the first 100 people to correctly answer the questions about the programs. The subsequent 900 people will then receive five $AAG tokens each.
