Meet the Team: Nelly Sutjiadi, Co-Founder & Chairwoman
--
To call Nelly Sutjiadi a success before she became co-founder and chairwoman of AAG Ventures would be putting it mildly. Having found success in both real estate and managing the assets of ultra high net worth individuals, Sutjiadi was very familiar with a broad range of asset classes. But she didn’t know crypto. At least, not until a few years ago.
Then her son Robert, who was in high school, alerted her to the burgeoning opportunity represented by cryptocurrencies. After exploring his recommendations, Sutjiadi took the plunge and made her initial Bitcoin, ETH and Litecoin investments. She was hooked. Soon after this, she met AAG co-founder Jack Vinijtrongjit online and, buoyed by his excitement about the metaverse and Web 3.0, decided to co-found AAG.
“Meeting Jack is probably the perfect example of how you can literally meet a person online and develop trust and make a connection without physically being in the same space,” she said. “That’s just what the metaverse is.”
In addition to a growing passion for all things crypto, Sutjiadi brings a wealth of experience to AAG Ventures. As an advisor and investor to startups in verticals ranging from blockchain and biotech to fintech and med tech, she has a vision for spotting emerging opportunities. With an MBA in Management Information System and B.S. in Industrial Engineering, she also has the technical skills to help realize this vision.
She’s confident that AAG has the potential to help its users (read: scholars) achieve a better life. “Through AAG’s P2E platform we’re bringing economic opportunities to as many people as possible,” she said. “It’s about helping people, while providing them with the tools to help them succeed in this space. We want to be major players in this space — and to bring all of our scholars along with us every step of the way.”
“Nelly is one of the most passionate people I have ever met,” said Jack Vinijtrongjit, CEO of AAG Ventures. “Her drive to help people is what got us started on this journey. Everyone in our team truly believes in our mission of using technology to help make the world a better place. We give a lot of credit to Nelly for helping inspire — and make possible — that vision.”
